Do you remember when you were little, you’d go on a school camping trip or just go camping with your friends? How did you like the experience?
Some people love camping because they get to experience living outside with limited resources. Some like it because they feel closer to nature. And then, there are people who absolutely hate camping because of the limited resources and being out there in nature.

What if we told you that you can now go camping comfortably and most importantly, stylishly? Yes, there’s a thing called “glamping” now. It’s short for glamorous camping and you can do it here in Sabah!

Okay, what’s the factor that makes a camping experience a not so wonderful one? The lack of amenities such as clean drinking water, shower facilities, lousy tents that keep falling or not sturdy enough. You’re probably also worried that it will be too hot and humid to go camping and you’re not really a jungle camper kind of person. Also, what if there’s no phone service or internet signal in there!?

Well, turn that frown upside down now because, with glamping, you don’t need to worry about any of that!

Let us introduce you to Cabana Retreat in Kota Belud, Sabah! It is the first pop-up beach resort in Malaysia and boy oh boy it is gorgeous!

Cabana Retreat

Cabana Retreat is set up along the Rampayan Beach at Kota Belud, which is about 1.5 hours drive from the city of Kota Kinabalu.
This is the retreat you need if you’re looking for a different kind of resort experience. You get to experience the fun and joy staying in the outdoors, being close to mother nature and its beautiful beach. And all this in the comfort and amenities provided by a hotel.

Cabana Retreat

Cabana Retreat

It has all the amenities you need that camping cannot provide. You get free bottled water, free toiletries, shared bathrooms with showers for your hygiene needs, towels provided and best of all, AIR CONDITIONING! Being by the beach can be very hot and humid and you don’t have to worry about that because your room will be cool and comfortable. And you don’t have to worry about your hair being all frizzy because you can request for a hairdryer as well. Best of all, there is Wi-Fi provided!

Glamping can be for any occasion. Planning for a romantic getaway with your significant other? Come to Cabana Retreat! Planning for a fun party with your friends? Why not go glamping at Cabana Retreat? Cabana Retreat can also be the newest spot for an event or festival. It is the most ideal location and activity to do for anyone who wants to wind down, relax and reconnect.

Cabana Retreat

There are also tons of activities to do there too! You can play beach volleyball, cycle, fly a kite, ride an ATV or a horse, or just sit back and watch the fireflies around you! Did we mention there’s also an outdoor pool there? Be sure to pack your swimsuits to go for a dip!

Cabana Retreat

Cabana Retreat has about 24 rooms and there are 5 types for you to choose from starting from RM150 a night. For more information, check out their Facebook and website now! Plan your next retreat now!
