Inspired by the book written by author Haruki Murakami, the name of this cafe was named after it.
Located in Taman Desa, Wild Sheep Chase has an all-white interior with lots of natural lighting, perfect for foodies to take bright and clear pictures of their food.
We went there after lunch for desserts and coffee, just to check out the place. Since we were still full from lunch, we only ordered one drink and one dessert.
This simple beverage is the Longan Milk Tea. Yep, you read it right. Longan in a hot milk tea. This is a non-caffeinated drink, it tasted like rose tea with a little milk. And as you drink, you’ll see the longan waiting at the bottom of the cup. Very light taste but it was perfect because we were stuffed from lunch.
This is the famous Vanilla Souffle that everyone raves about. You’ll be given a choice of syrups- orange, osmanthus maple, or salted caramel. Additional to that it comes with a scoop of sorbet of your preferred flavor- grapefruit or honeydew calamansi. Our choice was Vanilla Souffle with salted caramel and a scoop of honeydew calamansi.
The souffle was incredible. It was so light and soft, fluffy and not too sweet. The egg taste was not very overpowering. The moment the souffle touched my tongue, it melted and dissolved. It was not too sweet, nor too bland, the taste and texture were just nice.
If you are a person who does not like too many choices, Wild Sheep Chase is the cafe for you. Their menu is small and simple but intrigues your taste buds. A small menu is not always a bad thing, because too many choices could be overwhelming and you end up not knowing what to eat.
Check out their menu and decide for yourself. We’re definitely coming back to try the rest of their menu, especially the savory cheese souffle. If you’ve been here before, share your experience with us and tell us which is your favorite dish.
